Casa Dikitaru

Casa Dikitaru is located in Vieira do Minho, in Cabreira mountain range, approximately 8 km from the village, where you will find supermarkets, ATMs, petrol stations and restaurants.

 

Comprising the Peneda, Gerês, Soajo and Amarela mountain ranges, the Peneda-Gerês National Park in northern Portugal is the first Portuguese protected area and the only one with National Park status. It is the variations in altitude and the various climatic influences recorded that translate into the variety of flora and fauna found here.

 

From the rolling valleys and verdant hills to the hundreds of time-frozen granite villages, through viewpoints and Romanesque monuments, there are about 30 signposted trails that will take you close to some of the riches of this park. Hidden right in the middle of the mountains are waterfalls and lagoons that invite you to bathe and rest on the hotter days, but if you are in need of some adrenaline, the Cávado River is ideal for canoeing and wakeboarding, riding a motorcycle or experiencing existing inflatables. Approaching Albufeira da Caniçada, 8 km from the property, there are several companies that perform these activities and allow the rental of this equipment.

If you would like to go a little further, Braga, Guimarães, Porto and Ponte de Lima are some of the options that are 30 to 60 minutes away from the property.
